Cookie policy

Senast uppdaterad

This page explains which cookies are used on bf.nu, what they do and how you can manage them. For information on how we handle personal data more generally, see ourprivacy policy.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are used, among other things, to keep you logged in between page views, or to count the number of visitors.

Cookies that are necessary to deliver a service you have explicitly requested do not require consent. Other cookies may only be set if you have approved them, and you can always change your mind.

The cookies we use today

Balkongföreningen uses necessary cookies only. We use no cookies for marketing, cross-site tracking or profiling.

NamePurposeRetentionType
bf_medlemKeeps you signed in to the password-protected section for member companies. It contains no personal data — only which section has been unlocked and when the session expires. The session, at most 8 hours. Removed when you close your browser.Necessary
bf_installatorThe same function for the section for certified installers. The session, at most 8 hours. Removed when you close your browser.Necessary

Both sign-in cookies are marked HttpOnly, meaning they cannot be read by scripts in the browser, and SameSite=Lax, which limits when they are sent.

Visitor statistics

We currently use no visitor statistics and no analytics cookies. If we begin to do so, you will be asked for consent before anything is set, and you will be able to choose necessary cookies only. This page will then be updated with which cookies are involved and how long they are stored.

Content loaded from other services

Images and documents on the site are served from Sanity's content CDN (cdn.sanity.io). No cookie is set, but your IP address is sent there for technical reasons — as it would be to any image server.

The site's typefaces are served from our own server. No requests are made to Google Fonts or similar services.

The links to Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram in the footer are ordinary links. We embed no social widgets, so nothing is sent to those services until you click.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Bear in mind that the necessary cookies are required for the password-protected sections to work — without them you will be signed out on every page change.
