What Balkongföreningen offers

As a member you join a network that works through collaboration and knowledge exchange to raise competence across the industry. Membership signals serious delivery and is a clear commitment to quality towards both clients and partners.

You also gain access to a knowledge base, free advice and support during inspections, as well as the opportunity for joint marketing and installation authorisation for your installation companies. Together this strengthens your position in the industry and opens doors to new assignments and partnerships.

Your obligations as a member

Being a member of Balkongföreningen is about more than a quality mark. It is a shared responsibility for raising safety and quality in the industry. As a member you are expected to actively support the association's purpose and to follow the statutes, quality standards and decisions that are in place.

To fund our work, all members also pay an annual fee determined by the turnover of their company. These fees cover the work of influencing the market, spreading knowledge about safety requirements and reducing the risk of unsafe balconies being built as a result of insufficient knowledge.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for membership, and what requirements must be met?

Companies that design, manufacture and/or supply balcony slabs, railings and balcony glazing for the Nordic market can apply for membership.

As a member you undertake to follow Balkongföreningen's statutes, technical guidelines and code of conduct.

How do I apply for membership?

Start by filling in the form or contacting us, and we will send you a formal application form along with all the information that needs to be read and approved before membership.

The completed application must be signed by an authorised signatory and returned for review. Full membership takes effect once the first service fee has been paid.

What does membership cost?

We apply a dynamic fee model in which the membership fee is based on the company turnover, meaning smaller companies pay a lower fee and larger companies a higher one.

In addition to the fixed annual service fee, the costs of approved projects are shared between member companies, usually in proportion to turnover.
